This series orginated in 2008 with a commission for an over-the-mantel piece to go in the “Dexter Diningroom” (designed by Amy Lau) of Metropolitan Home’s Showtime Show House. Up-and-coming interior designers were assigned a room of the house to make over in the style of a Showtime hit series. Designer Amy Lau had seen one of my embroidered, blood splatter paintings in a collector’s home and asked me to do something with a white background for the room, in keeping with the Dexter blood spatter theme. Day Dreams (below) was the result. A few more pieces followed to complete the series. ![]()
