The triptych is made from floral bed sheets, found in the collection of a deceased grandmother, complete with age-related damage and staining, broken down further with paint marks, rips, burn holes and various other forms of destruction, then repaired with embroidery, needle lace, appliquéd snarls of thread, velvet flocking and other decorative restoration. There are also elements of quilting and upholstery-like stuffing. The context of the piece is the idea of glamour of the 60s and 70s and reexamining of aesthetics that are marginalized because of associations with aging, decorative patterning, family environments and motherhood.
